Over the 40 years of Carinya’s operation we have had the absolute pleasure of seeing a great many gorgeous babies and toddlers being cared for and nurtured here at Carinya.  Many have come back years later for us to care for their little ones by our very competent, warm and nurturing team of professional educators.

The babies’ and toddlers’ interests and needs are met through a fun, age appropriate program.  Our toddlers have fun challenging their gross motor skills with jumping, dancing, bobbing to music, or climbing on our specially designed equipment.  They have the opportunity to work on craft which usually means painting and getting messy which they love.

Favourite activities are playing our musical instruments with our talented staff who play guitar, piano and sing and teach our little ones new songs, or hand and finger plays.

The IPads are a delight with photos and information about the children’s day.  Our nursery staff members are always available to answer any questions, concerns or comments; just ask.  We have a Parent/Teacher Evening each August for you to have the opportunity to have in depth conversation with the entire nursery staff.

We are licensed to take only twelve 0-2’s so our demand for care is high.  Staff to child ratio is one to three to  four depending on ages of the babies.  We have a Teacher, Associated Dip and Certificate III working in the Gumnut Nursery.
